Scholarship Purpose

Investing in our community means providing financial assistance to talented students who share our commitment to giving back. We established the LOCAL Scholarship Program so we can celebrate these graduating high school students throughout Blount County.

Each year, the program provides $500 scholarships to five exceptional high school seniors who have been accepted for undergraduate study in community colleges, technical schools and universities. These students make the grades in the classroom and also show their passion for community involvement.

A committee selects the award recipients during a three-phase process, and applicants receive email notifications about their status after each phase. The winners will be recognized for their achievements in The Daily Times.

Please note, the CBBC Bank LOCAL Scholarships are given without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religious affiliation, disability, gender, or sexual orientation.
